Previously thought to be extinct, this beautiful animal was rediscovered in 1989 in Northern Queensland. There are only 2000-3000 of them and have a very small habitat which is under constant threat. They have a somewhat fiery temperament and will lash out when threatened, using their very sharp claws and teeth and a piercing screech. It is still an endangered species, and time is short.
